Unique Simple Vintage Elegant Edgy Modern
Sally’s Simple Striped Wedding Dress
A white and cream striped wedding dress with a wrap V-neck bodice featuring a wide stand-up collar, cut-in-one cap sleeves, an asymmetrical bridal button closure at the fitted waist, and an asymmetrical cascade of fabric on the front of a wrap pencil skirt with a bridal buttoned back slit ending just below the knee. The stripes will be arranged to create interesting geometrical patterns throughout the dress’s design. The style is sleek but comfortable and provides plenty of ease for movement.
This collage features some of our favorite inspiration images that helped me create this design.
Fabrics: I’ve found several beautiful fabric options. I’m also still waiting for two swatches (that could be top contenders) to arrive. I’ll mail you my favorites when I’ve got everything in hand.
My favorite that I have in hand is a wheat and white striped cotton from Mood. The white has a beautiful sheen to it and is also a little bit raised above the cream colored stripes. These stripes are 1/4″ wide. I have another swatch coming that looks very similar (featured in the collage above), which seems to have a little softer color palate and a little wider stripes.
I’m excited to hear what you think! This is just the jumping off point for your design which can continue to evolve throughout our process.

Unique Simple Vintage Elegant Edgy Modern Asymmetrical
Sally’s Asymmetrical Striped Wedding Dress
A white and cream striped wedding dress with a one shoulder asymmetrical top, asymmetrical hipline, asymmetrical bridal buttoned back, and an asymmetrical wrapped hi-low skirt based on your drawings.
In order to not have to break up the stripes with oddly matching seams in the bodice’s shaping, I’ve opted for tucks at the shoulder and the opposite waistline. Here’s a quick example of how it might work:
I also allowed the wrap in the back to fold back on itself so that you don’t have to worry about your butt peeking out. In this design, you will be able to see the lining so we can have some fun adding a color or contrasting fabric here.
