Heather was married on a rainy Spring day in April at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh. The event was captured beautifully by Timeless Photojournalism.
There were so many gorgeous photos of this day that I really had a hard time editing any of them out. I started with my favorite 100 and was only able to narrow it down to the 20+ featured here. I hope you don’t mind a photo-filled post (Ok- I knew you wouldn’t!) Timeless Photojournalism knocked it out of the park!
I absolutely loved working with Heather to create her custom accessories! Her thrift store dress never looked better than when it was adorned with a unique custom shoulder piece, a custom birdcage veil, and custom belt. Her bridesmaids looked absolutely adorable with their custom “brooches”.
Enough talk! Let’s get to those photos!
“When I found Brooks Ann, I had an idea in mind and a few pieces in my hand. But I had no idea that I would walk away with the most incredible, unique and beautiful accessories for my dress.
Throughout my wedding planning process, my visits to her studio were among the most anticipated events because they made it all feel real — I was really getting married. My entire experience with Brooks Ann made that build up special. Her professionalism and patience with my decision making process were second to none. Not to mention her eye for detail and craftsmanship.
I’m eternally grateful to Brooks Ann for creating the pieces I will hold dear for the rest of my life.” -Heather
“Thank you Brooks Ann!! Everyone commented on the shoulder piece! It was the absolute center of attention and made me a beautiful bride. Looking at the photos reminds me of everything that’s happened over the past several months. Emailing you while there was snow on the ground. Anticipating visits to Hillsborough and watching the evolution of the pieces. You are talented and thoughtful. Thank you so much for being the best part of my wedding planning process.” <3 H.

NEXT POST: Hmmmm…. what is next?? Before I start blogging about my Summer bride Erin (who was featured this week on TheKnot.com!) I’ll be sharing a bit about my upcoming eCourse (registration opens September 11!)… then maybe a sewing technique spotlight?… maybe a retrospective post?… What would you like to see on the blog?
