Fun Fashion Photoshoot

With the dress completely finished it was finally time for some professional photography!  Though I absolutely love having shots of each dress on the bride on her wedding day from her wedding photographer, I have learned not to trust that all wedding photographers take really good pictures.  If I don’t take some fantastic shots before the wedding day, I might be stuck with only a few wedding shots that have the entire dress in them, and/or the photos might all have weird filters or artistic angles that make it unusable for my portfolio purposes.

Enter Kent Corley, the fantastic commercial photographer I’ve had the pleasure of hiring to shoot my dresses on their dress forms before they leave out for the wedding.

We had a great time shooting this very special creation!  Kent always does a fantastic job of telling the story of each of my dresses.  He’s very meticulous about lighting and staging and he makes whatever object that he photographs come alive!  That is one of the reasons why I was very excited that Kent Corley Photography , known for his commercial and catalog photography, recently started branching out and taking photos of people as well.

When I contacted Kent to schedule our usual shoot, he mentioned to me that he was really interested doing a full fashion shoot with Michelle in her wedding dress!  Michelle would get to be a supermodel for the day and we’d all get some great shots.  Michelle and I both loved the idea, so we had our final fitting in Kent’s photography studio.

The whole experience was a big fun party!  We had Prosecco and flowers and music….  It was a celebration for everyone but especially for Michelle who, just weeks away from her wedding, was stepping into her wedding dress for the very first time.  She looked amazing!!!  It fit her perfectly and we were all extremely happy with the results!  Michelle was a natural model and did a great job in her first ever fashion photo shoot.  Prepare to be impressed!

Though I can’t wait to show you the fashion photos we took, Michelle asked that I not share the ones with her in them until after her wedding.  So stay tuned, by the end of this month you’ll be able to see the amazing Michelle in her one-of-a-kind Brooks Ann Camper Bridal Couture creation photographed by the fantastic Kent Corley!

In the meantime, I am excited to share with you this link showcasing the beautiful Kent Corley Photography photos of Michelle’s dress on her custom dress form by clicking here. Enjoy!!
